The Coney Island Cyclone

Declared a City Landmark in 1988 and a National Historic Landmark in 1991, The Coney Island Cyclone first rattled its wooden roller coaster way back in 1927. The “Mother of American roller coaster culture,” the Cyclone is a top destination for visitors to NYC. With over 2,640 feet of track, 12 drops and 27 elevation changes, The Cyclone will creak and rattle its way in to your beloved summertime traditions.

Scream Zone

First opened in 2011 during Coney Island’s facelift, Scream Zone is operated by the same group that runs both Luna Park and the Cyclone. Home to some of Coney’s most thrilling rides including The Slingshot, the Steeplechase Coaster, the Torpedo and the Soaring Eagle, Scream Zone is a must for those looking for a little extra heart pounding action.

The Thunderbolt

One look at The Thunderbolt and you’re sure to get chest palpitations. Beginning with a 90-degree vertical drop, this 2-minute long thrill ride takes its visitors across over 2,233 feet of steel highlighted by a 100-ft vertical loop at speeds up to 55-mph. Not for the faint of heart.
